Sui Community Spotlight: FastFrank

Known across the Sui developer community as fastfrank, Frank was one of the ecosystem’s early independent builders and the creator of pysui, a Python SDK that made Sui much more accessible to developers who preferred Python.

Sui Builder Hero from Day 1

In February 2023, months before Sui Mainnet launched, the Sui Foundation named PySui as one of just 20 winners of the Sui Builder Hero Award. For Frank, the recognition came from exactly what defined his journey: making Sui more accessible to developers.

More Than the Code

Frank did not simply publish pysui and disappear behind a GitHub profile. He spent years answering questions, helping developers, and listening to feedback from the community. You can still see that throughout the Sui Developers channels on Sui Discord/Telegram/Forum.

And that generosity is exactly how other developers remember him.

A Builder’s Legacy 💙

Frank’s passing leaves a real absence in the Sui developer community. But his legacy continues helping developers to build and grow the Sui ecosystem together

Thank you, Frank, for spending years building something useful simply because the ecosystem needed it. Thank you for the code, the answers, and the countless hours most people will never see.
