Our Director, Professor Dan Stone, has a compelling new book out this week. The Holocaust: An Unfinished History discusses several areas oft-overlooked in the study of the Holocaust.
Research trip at the National Monument Kamp Amersfoort today. I found particularly striking the representation of perpetrators in the same space as the victims, without any justification or risky absolution.

@TBM_V3 A couple of weeks?? For 30 minutes with your bike? That’s insane! Considering that you said in all the different language that you don’t take the deposit before. Worst bike sharing service ever.
@TBM_V3 hi! Last 24th of December I rent one of your bike when in Bordeaux. I still didn’t receive the 140€ deposit. Can you advice me how to proceed to have it back?
🚨 Our Lent Call for Papers is out! Submissions due January 3. Send us your abstracts from any discipline, time period, or place related to the history of memory or emotions, and share with your colleagues:
I am very happy to share that from next month I will be a postdoctoral fellow at the @UvA_Amsterdam, as member of the School for Memory, Heritage and Material Culture. I will work on heritage and WII perpetrators.

Hurrah!
