The number of components, attention to detail and precision these guys are taking with these cases is awesome. The prototype took over 400 hours, and while the students are moving at incredible speed it’s still taking longer than expected. That’s real life and perseverance.

Here it is without any video input. Looks like a normal glass case but each of the sides has two clear pieces of plexiglass that @k12maker help us laser cut to exact measurements. This provides support and protection for the sensitive liquid layer inside.

They spend over 170 hours just prototyping one of the panels, and failing over and over again. We tested over 20 different monitors from LCD to LED, 13 - 32 inches (cracked screens)

So proud of this little guy..First he brought some food to a killdeer bird (getting pecked in the process), then cleared the stream of plastic and debris and finally collected 3 pounds of broken glass from the park nearby. Ohh did I mentioned that he has started his compost pile?

2 years ago during our winter vacation my 3 year old son and I went trash hunting for the first time. We came back with 35 pounds of trash and recycling. Proud to say that every week since then we have gone out every week. This is him at 5 years old during of February vacation
