Thrilled to announce that I have been awarded a @DFF_raad Sapere Aude starting grant for my new project entitled ”From Catastrophe to Culture: Understanding Epidemics in Ancient Mesopotamia”!
By reconstructing the earliest epidemic timeline in the ancient Middle East, the project aims to provide a new perspective on how humans have lived with widespread disease since the dawn of history.
I am very happy to share that I have taken up the position as Associate Professor in Assyriology at the Department of Cross-Cultural and Regional Studies, University of Copenhagen!
