@MBTYuGiOh Duralume isn't even the *good* Vaalmonica Link, and it's still Raigeki on summon and multiple attacks for near lethal, all on a generic* Link-1.

@MBTYuGiOh Illusion Gate is Raigeki and Monster Reborn stapled together, two boogiemen of the old days. Not only is it legal at 3, it's often *worse* than plain Raigeki (loses to Impulse), and is 0 points in Genesys.

@MBTYuGiOh The effect btw: Activate this card only when a card or effect that would inflict damage is activated. Neither player takes effect damage if the amount is less than or equal to 300.

@MBTYuGiOh The writers claim they needed to really work to make duels hard for Soulburner, but they sure did have to invent Gate of Fire, a card that prevents effect damage in instances less than 300 to not lose instantly to Trickstars.

@MagicaLyna @DistantCoder Nope, the gain LP is part of the effect. If they ash your Scelta, you don't gain the LP (or more pressingly, the Resonance Counter).

Three Medius, two owls, one each of the students, two Diactorus, Nerva, Varnish Alteration, Vandalism Assault, the trap, and I've been teching in Succession to make Secretarion with Graflare/Litera. Not tested how that last one works yet.

@NightsDarkus @DistantCoder I've been having fun/success mixing it with Vaalmonica for locals. Plenty of spells to discard, three different types in archetype, also access to FS, some of the best (repeatable) removal in the game, and it's really funny to Pend summon Medius.

@paddyYGO @MBTYuGiOh To be clear, I also think the Link plays are generally stronger than the Rank 4s. I:P is another Zebufera, S:P plays around Nib, and Requiem is Dies Irae to protect from board breakers like Evenly.

@poorlyred @MBTYuGiOh Is it any surprise Zebufera isn't being played more though? It's absolutely insane, but it require three Resonance Counters on Dimonno, which isn't exactly happening in any deck but pure Vaalmonica.

@paddyYGO @MBTYuGiOh It's really funny in Vaalmonica, which automatically alters everything's attack and makes a Rank 4 or Link 2 as part of the endboard.

The problem is that the alternative is fucking BAGOOSKA, who is game winning on his own at times. Opportunity cost is too high.
