@bluewhalenews Interestingly, Chilean Blue whales near Chiloe were in very poor condition in 2015, but recovered in 2016.

@bluewhalenews @GoldbogenLab This is a direct result of body size and filtration capacity. BWs stop swimming and sink while filtering. HBs have a much shorter filtration time. Minke whales can basically filter very quickly while swimming! (Some variation in lunge strategy, too)
