It is easy to be introspective in times of difficulty. However, the RCPath has always been more than a UK fellowship. International partnerships would remain a personal priority for my term as President, should I be elected this month.

As president of the RCPath, I would lobby for increased numbers of (fully funded) training posts (removing the need for local trusts to pay half the costs) and a properly structured and funded career pathway for consultant scientists.
