This is great! Philly DA Larry Krasner vows to "hunt down" ICE agents who are breaking the law like Germany hunted down Nazis after WWII.

“This is a small bunch of wannabe Nazis in a country of 350 million. We outnumber them. If we have to hunt you down the way they hunted down Nazis for decades, we will.”

He said he would prosecute any ICE agent who violates the Constitution in Philadelphia to the fullest extent of the law, after referring to such agents as “Nazis.”

When Ian Austin, an Army veteran, was arrested for protesting ICE in Minneapolis, he says he was detained and shackled for hours.

“We're turning into something that I can't even begin to respect, and something that I literally went to war—or they told me I went to war—to fight against,” he says.

Since he was arrested, he’s continued protesting. Mother Jones senior reporter Julia Lurie spoke to Austin outside the Whipple Federal Building, where ICE is based.

“When they say, ‘Why would you be out here?’ How the fuck could I not be out here?” he says. “My nation is under attack."

Lost in the background of the horrific murder of Alex Pretti is that an ICE agent walked up to a woman who was actively backing away from him and shoved her with two hands, sending her sprawling backwards onto an icy sidewalk. He then tries to pepper spray her while she is prone on the ground.

There is no justification for this physical violence against her. She isn't resisting arrest and she isn't threatening the agent. He crossed the street to physically attack her.

This is not normal. This is not ok. Law enforcement cannot physically assault citizens on the street. Any police officer who did this would lose their job.

We've seen countless examples of ICE initiating physical violence with no justification. This cannot be normalized.

Secretary Noem, your administration now openly authorizes ICE agents to forcibly enter people's homes without a judicial warrant. 

That is blatantly unconstitutional – ICE cannot authorize itself to break into people’s homes.

If ICE attempts such unconstitutional measures in Washington, our state will consider all legal options to hold the U.S. government and individual ICE agents accountable.
