Really tough weekend. Flew home to day goodbye to our sweet boy Axel after 12 years of pure joy and love with him. He was such a good big brother and pack leader for our adopted border pups. Accepted them immediately.
And he helped our family through the loss of my dad more than he’ll ever know. Will miss him so much.
Love you forever Axe ❤️
Friends, in our second reading this Sunday, Paul tells the church of Philippi, “Have no anxiety at all.” It’s hard to imagine that Paul—who was shipwrecked many times, beaten within an inch of his life, threatened and harassed and persecuted and opposed, and finally arrested, dragged to Rome, and decapitated—never experienced any anxiety. So what does he mean? What he says next is the clue: “But in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God.”

James Talarico has lied to Texans about his radical record throughout this race.
He is now deceiving voters about campaigning in Texas this weekend when he's been out of state campaigning with liberal elites who want to destroy Texans' way of life.
It's time to put Texas first!
This is the most brutal takedown of Talarico’s new ad.
He’s on the record supporting “trans kids” and everything else he’s now trying to deny. These are his own words.
Everything he says is a lie to get elected.
Don’t fall for it Texas, vote Ken Paxton.
Gospel of the Day (Luke 10,25-37)
There was a scholar of the law who stood up to test Jesus and said, "Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?"
Jesus said to him, "What is written in the law? How do you read it?"
He said in reply, "You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your being, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself."
He replied to him, "You have answered correctly; do this and you will live."
But because he wished to justify himself, he said to Jesus, "And who is my neighbor?"
Jesus replied, "A man fell victim to robbers as he went down from Jerusalem to Jericho. They stripped and beat him and went off leaving him half-dead.
A priest happened to be going down that road, but when he saw him, he passed by on the opposite side.
Likewise a Levite came to the place, and when he saw him, he passed by on the opposite side.
But a Samaritan traveler who came upon him was moved with compassion at the sight.
He approached the victim, poured oil and wine over his wounds and bandaged them. Then he lifted him up on his own animal, took him to an inn and cared for him.
The next day he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper with the instruction, 'Take care of him. If you spend more than what I have given you, I shall repay you on my way back.'
Which of these three, in your opinion, was neighbor to the robbers' victim?"
He answered, "The one who treated him with mercy." Jesus said to him, "Go and do likewise."

A MESSAGE OF HOPE: Dominic Auricchio was facing a frightening health challenge when he says the Virgin Mary appeared beside his bed and told him everything would be OK. Later, doctors found that the mass in his brain had shrunk significantly. The NJ teen and his mother share their story on “America Right Now.”

The oldest depiction of the Virgin
"Considered the oldest in the world, the image has been dated to the beginning of the 3rd century (230-240). The painting represents the Virgin and Child and a prophet who points to a star above the Virgin’s head.
This character can be identified with the Old Testament prophet Balaam, who predicts the coming of Christ." Source: https://t.co/4m9upjfvHl
Friends, I’m deeply grateful for Pope Leo XIV’s warm welcome and time during our productive conversation yesterday. It was a privilege to spend time with the Holy Father.
Gospel of the Day (Matthew 21,33-43)
Jesus said to the chief priests and the elders of the people: "Hear another parable. There was a landowner who planted a vineyard, put a hedge around it, dug a wine press in it, and built a tower. Then he leased it to tenants and went on a journey.
When vintage time drew near, he sent his servants to the tenants to obtain his produce.
But the tenants seized the servants and one they beat, another they killed, and a third they stoned.
Again he sent other servants, more numerous than the first ones, but they treated them in the same way.
Finally, he sent his son to them, thinking, 'They will respect my son.'
But when the tenants saw the son, they said to one another, 'This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and acquire his inheritance.'
They seized him, threw him out of the vineyard, and killed him.
What will the owner of the vineyard do to those tenants when he comes?"
They answered him, "He will put those wretched men to a wretched death and lease his vineyard to other tenants who will give him the produce at the proper times."
Jesus said to them, "Did you never read in the scriptures: 'The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; by the Lord has this been done, and it is wonderful in our eyes'?
Therefore, I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people that will produce its fruit.

On Oct. 4, Roman Catholics celebrate the feast of St. Francis of Assisi, the Italian deacon who brought renewal to the Church through his decision to follow Jesus' words as literally as possible.
The future Saint Francis was born on an uncertain date in the early 1180s, one of the several children born to the wealthy merchant Pietro Bernardone and his wife Pica. He originally received the name Giovanni (or John), but became known as Francesco (or Francis) by his father's choice.
Unlike many medieval saints, St. Francis was neither studious nor pious in his youth. His father's wealth gave him access to a lively social life among the upper classes, where he was known for his flashy clothes and his readiness to burst into song. Later a patron of peacemakers, he aspired to great military feats in his youth and fought in a war with a rival Italian city-state.
A period of imprisonment during that conflict turned his mind toward more serious thoughts, as did a recurring dream that suggested his true “army” was not of this world. He returned to Assisi due to illness in 1205, and there began consider a life of voluntary poverty.
Three major incidents confirmed Francis in this path. In Assisi, he overcame his fear of disease to kiss the hand of a leper. Afterward, he made a pilgrimage to Rome, where he deposited his money at Saint Peter's tomb and exchanged clothes with a beggar. Soon after he returned home, Francis heard Christ tell him in a vision: “Go, Francis, and repair my house, which as you see is falling into ruin.”
Francis began to use his father's wealth to restore churches. This led to a public quarrel in which the cloth-merchant's son removed his clothing and declared that he had no father except God. He regarded himself as the husband of “Lady Poverty,” and resolved to serve Christ as “a herald of the Great King.”
During the year 1208, the “herald” received the inspiration that would give rise to the Franciscan movement. At Mass one morning, he heard the Gospel reading in which Christ instructed the apostles to go forth without money, shoes, or extra clothing. This way of life soon became a papally-approved rule, which would attract huge number of followers within Francis' own lifetime.
Through his imitation of Christ, Francis also shared in the Lord's sufferings. He miraculously received Christ's wounds, the stigmata, in his own flesh during September of 1224. His health collapsed over the next two years, a “living sacrifice” made during two decades of missionary preaching and penance.
St. Francis of Assisi died on Oct. 3, 1226. Pope Gregory IX, his friend and devotee, canonized him in 1228.

🚨 HOLY CRAP! Sec. Marco Rubio just CANCELED the legal status of slain Iranian Major General Qasem Soleimani's family members living in the US
They're now in ICE custody, pending DEPORTATION. 🔥
Long overdue, thank you Marco! 🇺🇸
RUBIO: "Until recently, Hamideh Soleimani Afshar and her daughter were green card holders living in lavishly in the United States.
Afshar is the niece of deceased Iranian Major General Qasem Soleimani. She is also an outspoken supporter of the Iranian regime who celebrated attacks on Americans and referred to our country as the "Great Satan."
This week, I terminated both Afshar and her daughter's legal status and they are now in ICE custody, pending removal from the United States.
The Trump Administration will not allow our country to become a home for foreign nationals who support anti-American terrorist regimes." 🔥
Pluie de Roses qui tombe dans la Basilique Sainte Thérèse à Lisieux lors de la messe de ce 1er octobre fête de Sainte Thérèse de l’Enfant Jesus ! Lisieux
This is not true.
She voluntarily drank alcohol.
Voluntarily did drugs.
Consented to multiple threesomes.
When she said “no” to a foursome, the men stopped.
When she said she was tired and was going to sleep, the men stopped.
Afterward, she texted the first man that none of the sex stuff was illegal.
The supposed smoking gun— her saying “I was definitely raped” days afterward isn’t actually a smoking gun because it wasn’t rape because she consented. Even drunk and on drugs in New York does not negate your ability to legally consent.
So no, she was not gang raped according to the law.
She was just mad because word got out on campus and her reputation was ruined (her words).
Bu the way, it doesn’t seem like she even reported anything to campus police until after she had a falling out with one of the men.
This whole story is disgusting.
This young woman is deeply disturbed. Her sexual behavior is repulsive and gravely morally wrong.
The young men are sexual deviants. To engage in such sexual depravity is appalling and gravely morally wrong.
She felt shame and regret. Which is exactly what she should feel. She should be deeply ashamed of herself.
But to falsely accuse these young men of a hideous crime they didn’t commit is also disgusting and wrong.
This is what happens when you “normalize” sex outside marriage. When you reduce the morality of sex to mere “consent.” Utter depravity and sexual deviance reigns.
If you feel angry at the men for legally abusing this woman, you should.
If you feel angry at this woman for falsely accusing these men of rape when the evidence indicates it was NOT rape, you should.
It’s almost like sexual promiscuity is NOT liberating for anyone… But actually hurts everyone involved, physically and spiritually.
🚨BREAKING: Lisa Domski had spent nearly 38 years at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan when the company introduced its COVID-19 vaccine mandate. Domski, a devout Catholic, asked for a religious exemption. She wrote that the vaccines available at the time had been developed or tested using fetal cell lines from abortions, and that taking one would violate her faith.
Her job was 100% remote. She had no in-person contact with coworkers. The company denied her exemption anyway and fired her.
She won a $12.7 MILLION lawsuit for being wrongfully fired! Justice is served.
