@Taz19807@CTVNews@HeatherButtsCTV Try again. Ontario has had the longest school closures. Over 24 weeks. BC has had the shortest. Yet no N95, no hepa filters and no acceleration of boosters for education staff.
@NovaScotia123 @lohahi_lori@TorontoStar They’re not approved yet for boosters. Are you suggesting they stay home and miss the rest of the year until health Canada approves and then they all get boosted?? What is it with Ontario kids that have to always sacrifice their education when the rest of Canada back to school
@Crepes78 @TorontoStar Our high school of 1000 kids kids in Toronto has had one case - in December. My 11 year olds middle school had 17 cases and had to close completely.
@krushowy@TorontoStar@RosaJSaba To those who think we should close schools to prevent the spread of Covid, I’ve got news for you: the schools are currently closed (winter break) & Covid is spiking anyway. Closing schools doesn’t stop the spread of Covid, but it does send the message that school isn’t essential.
@LTorchman@j_pagsy@mariannescott44 Can transmit it anywhere. Transit, gym, movies, indoor soccer practice, ballet…unless planning on isolating indefinitely and not leaving the house nothing is 100% safe. If that’s what you’re striving home suggest not leaving your house 🤷🏻♀️
@bpegan1 @afclark82 @talk2oleary@FurnessColin @carahB1 @TOPublicHealth So we should also shut down our high school kids who went out did the right thing got vaxxed! Prior to this year they haven’t had a full normal year since March 2020. How about they choose online if they feel efficacy of vaccine waning. Boosters haven’t been approved for under 18
