This Grail is finally coming home to papa. Thanks to @NicholasJamz for the assist, Coleman Cards for the smooth transaction, and @yellowsub86 for the guidance to always follow my dreams:
#Bitcoin is for saving, not for spending. @RussellOkung and I agree on this point & would like to respectfully submit to @JanetYellen that the primary use case of bitcoin is to preserve the life savings of the people so they can achieve their hopes & aspirations.
@Timmins_matt@darrenrovell@PSAcard Edit: Actually, it looks like they've acknowledged receipt of all my packages as of this week. Hopefully a sign of great things to come.
I don't care for all @darrenrovell content, but I agree that this card is special, particularly because I believe there's a very limited # of copies graded, and BGS and PSA do not grade them anymore, at the request of Sports Illustrated. Is that right, @darrenrovell ?
As card collectors go hunting for value, thereβs a debate over the Tiger Woods rookie. Is it a card out of a magazine or a pack pulled card five years into his career?
I did a deep dive and chose this one. And then bought two of them.
@Timmins_matt@darrenrovell Thank you for this info. I didn't realize. On a side note, how the heck did you get @PSAcard on the phone? I can't even get them to acknowledge receipt of my packages that have been sitting in their Santa Ana warehouse since July!
@darrenrovell@TheAtlSportsGuy@tradercracks So you have been following the 1996 SIKA for 20+ years.
Your post (and references linking to it) should be updated to reflect your understanding that neither company obliged. I don't see that in any posts anywhere.
People relying on them don't have access to aged grading data.
@darrenrovell If the statement is not accurate, it may be helpful to update or clarify your earlier post on the subject, which is being referenced by people who believe it to be true:
https://t.co/14hqJgQfjw.
@tradercracks@darrenrovell Here's another: https://t.co/14hqJgQfjw ("'It's our position that the cards are part of the editorial content and were never meant to be trading cards,' said a spokesperson for SI for Kids, who asked not to be identified. Fewer than 1,000 SI for Kids cards have been graded...")
@tradercracks@darrenrovell Ah, apologies, maybe it wasn't an earlier version of the Beckett article. Here is one article that mentions it: https://t.co/DaGtvehm8y ("SI went as far as to write letters to card grading companies asking that they stop grading any of the cards...")
Also, for many of the same reasons you mentioned, I believe the 1998 Masters Champions of Golf set (base and gold foil) and the 1997 Cardwon (promo) cards are also special.
Or maybe @MikeEvans13_ wants to own this as motivation for next year after his first #SuperBowl championship.
Maybe @TomBrady wants to give ME13 the gift of healthy competition.
What do you think @officialangelo_ ?
