@pikuma game dev tutorial youtubers etc) push ppl towards learning things fast and dirty, and generally treat the fundamentals as a waste of time. Ppl learn very little, they just follow tutorials verbatim

Looking back, it was a lot easier to focus without all the distractions and all the fake info. When you have just one book about Turbo Pascal in your entire city, you better sit your butt down and get to work. I cannot imagine how kids must feel having to learn anything nowadays.
