A spirit who roams the world.
His true personality is something of a mystery

You cannot eat money, oh no
When the last tree has fallen
And the rivers are poisoned
You cannot eat money, oh no
Feed me sunlight, feed me air
Feed me truth and feed me prayer
Dancing around a shooting star.
The Recorder notices the feeling of someone watching him and so he pauses merely a moment to look to the other. With a soft smile he beckons the elegant one over.
"Would you like to see?" he asked.

Soft, smooth brushstrokes on paper, the black and colored ink soaking into pure white paper; making it more then it once was.
Shoyou hummed as he painted lotus to keep it for all time.
A 'demon' himself, Shoyou could sense that the teahouse wasn't a regular building. He could almost feel it breathing and he repressed the urge to pull out his scroll immediately to record it.
Best to ask it's master first.
"Good day," Shoyou echoed politely, "I was just passing

An ink bird flew from the bag and passed Shoyou's face, twittering playfully. He allowed it to perch on his finger for a moment

The sakura season was ending, the blossoms giving way to spring green leaves that unfurled in the sun.
Shoyou sat beneath one of these trees, his scroll spread across his lap, painting the fading memory with graceful moments of his ink brush.
"Indeed I am," he said politely, "I was just traveling through, looking for a place to stay for a little while. Did you have something you wished to ask me, hime?"
Clever, polite, soft and elegant; that was the wandering recorder.
Shoyou pauses, feeling eyes on his back. Thus he turns fluidly to gaze back, questioningly.
"Good evening," he replied calmly, bowing slightly to his little spy.

He'd come to the city to find lodging for the nights, or at least a quiet corner to doze in. The recorder was not expecting to see a parade to come down the street however.
Was there a festival nearby, perhaps?
@sasatomoechi footnote.
"If you would not mind; could you tell me what has come to pass? Have you gotten married, perhaps, or gained a new power? I would like to update your record."
@sasatomoechi "Mm, time is a river; it flows sometimes slow and sometimes fast by we all reach the sea at some point," Shoyou admitted calmly, "You are still quiet handsome if I may say so; perhaps more so then before."
He neatly rolled the scroll forward to a clean place after making a
