This was a case of weaponising suicide.

“Don’t question me or I may kill myself” is the tool of the charlatan. It’s not far from the “if you question me you’re a racist/trabsphobe/genocidal ethnonationalisr” or whatever the Omnicause likes to champion in its muddlethink.

This is akin to medics saying that you have a choice: a trans son or a dead child. It is the charlatan’s charter, and has little substance but high threat.

As a pilot, we’ve experienced similar circumstances in our profession.

Jason Arday‘s case is the obvious precipitant of the DEI solution.

Whereas before DEI, if a minority pilot sat down in the cockpit next to me, the fact that he she was a minority never once crossed my mind. I knew that he/she had passed the practical test standards and achieved wings based on merit and proficiency.
After tainted influences of hiring practices based on sexual orientation, sex, and race entered, the natural question became “is the person sitting next to me competent or are they sitting there because some HR person was meeting a quota?”

DEI literally creates discrimination by default, especially if you operate in a theater that requires competency.
