The first crystallizer has been installed at the Magnesium Sulfate building. Before battery-quality lithium carbonate can be produced, the brine solution needs to be purified. The crystallizers will precipitate dissolved magnesium sulfate out of the brine producing magnesium sulfate salt, also known as Epsom salt.

Last week, @hardermech1934 and @CraneMaxim crews safely raised and anchored into place the 198-foot Duplex Plant Stack for the Sulfuric Acid Plant at Thacker Pass. The plant stack is designed to safely vent water vapor and filter out exhaust byproducts from the sulfur conversion process. This installation is a visual marker of progress as the project continues to go vertical in all areas of the facility. Mechanical completion is targeted for late-2027.

This week, LAC's President and CEO Jonathan Evans was recognized as the 2026 Leader of the Year at the @Fastmarkets Voltas Awards. This award reflects his leadership in advancing Thacker Pass Phase 1 toward production by de-risking financing and securing partnerships with the U.S. DOE, General Motors and Orion. At Lithium Americas we are focused on building vertically integrated, domestic lithium capacity at Thacker Pass to strengthen America's supply chains, advance energy independence and create meaningful jobs in northern Nevada.

Rene Leblanc, VP Commercial and Product Strategy was proud to represent LAC at the conference and accept the award on Jon's behalf. Rene also joined two panel discussions 'Inside Nevada's Lithium Loop: Project Updates and the Race to Deliver U.S. Lithium Supply' and 'The Missing Link: Accelerating North America's Midstream'. These discussions highlighted the important role Thacker Pass plays in upstream mining and processing of battery-grade lithium carbonate, in an effort to reduce reliance on foreign critical minerals.

Major construction at @ThackerPass continues as we target mechanical completion in late-2027. This month, we achieved a safety milestone of three million work hours on-site and five million total project hours without a lost time incident.

Currently, there are approximately 1,600 workers on-site at Thacker Pass. Recent construction activity includes:

- Five out of eight counter-current decantation shells installed; welding of floor plate and side panels continue
- Second level steel buildout of the Filtration Building completed and are now setting mechanical equipment and welding pipe
- Magnesium Sulfate Building steel erection into the second level, setting our first crystallizer and welding pipe
- Long lead items continue to arrive for the Sulfuric Acid Plant, including the Steam Turbine Generator, Cold Interpass Heat Exchanger and Hot Interpass Heat Exchanger
- The two control enclosures and the first electrical house set in place
- Materials and equipment continue to arrive on-site with over 60 truck loads of material arriving daily

Maybe it's okay to you, but I would hate to see a meme stock--what SpaceX stock has become--walked to the size of Nvidia over a series overnight moves with no sellers. But that seems to be the goal. Maybe early release of those who want to go?? I am uncomfortable watching a stock go up ten points in a couple of hours of trading. And i LIKE the stock!!
