@jaredleys The Hitchhiker’s Guide trilogy (which contains 5 books) is a (kind of) linear series so definitely start with the first one.

@jaredleys Stiff Upper Lip, Jeeves was my first Wodehouse book so it holds a special place in my heart.

For Discworld, I always recommend starting with the first two books as they set up the world and its oddities nicely. The rest of the series can be tackled in just about any order.

@armondboudreaux The 1982 adaptation of The Scarlet Pimpernel is also fantastic. You will be saying things like “Sink me!” and “My dear fellow…” in an exaggerated British accent for months after you watch it. 😁

@armondboudreaux Umm, yes?! Monte Cristo is one of the most grand revenge epics ever written. The Three Musketeers is a classic tale of swashbuckling and political intrigue. And the Scarlet Pimpernel is basically “what if Bruce Wayne was an 18th century British dandy?” 😊

I looked him up on Facebook and found out that he had a stroke. Please pray for his healing. He is one of the best ones. Never creepy, liked to talk to me about politics (he always wore a Trump hat and was very surprised to find out that I was on the right, lol), and one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. He said he hasn’t been feeling great and thought he had a cold right before he disappeared. I wish there was more I could do. His daughter set up a meal train for him and I messaged her about it. I just hope he recovers quickly. Link below:
