Down 31-26 at the half, our Channahon 8th grade boys showed growth, maturity, and FIGHT! Giving up was never an option for them as they got a big win over a rival to give themselves a chance at the Regional Championship tomorrow night. #ChannahonPride #CoachingRocks

[Mr. Papp @PappClass]

My students know this is almost too much for me to handle. My Illini x Cheez-Its = #perfection.

In my Cheez-Its only classroom, the inferior orange snack cracker is contraband that gets thrown straight in the trash if found.

[Citrus Bowl @CitrusBowl]

IT’S HAPPENING!!!

@IlliniFootball has arrived in Orlando! #CitrusBowl

[Italy in US @ItalyinUS]

🇮🇹🤝🇺🇸 For Italians and Italian Americans, #ColumbusDay represents a moment of reflection and a celebration of our common heritage, values, and path towards the future. Today, let's honor the special bond between Italy and the US, and between our peoples.

[Mr. Papp @PappClass]

What a day for Channahon XC. 2 individual race winners, 2 sectional championships, and 2 team tickets punched for state! #2nice #ChannahonPride #Tribe

[Mr. Papp @PappClass]

@ModestTeacher @WilySnowPena I detest the burning of U.S. flags, but that doesn't matter. It is free speech. I would contend, though, that it cannot involve theft (such as taking a flag down from a public space) or endanger any lives in the process.

[Heritage Foundation @Heritage]

1 parchment.

56 signers.

248 years of liberty.

Today we celebrate the independence, grounded in truth and upheld by the sacrifices of many, that makes America truly exceptional.

May we likewise pledge our lives, fortunes, and sacred honor in furtherance of American independence for centuries to come.

Amazing presentation today John Meehan. Thank you. #RSAC23

I bought a cake for @mrsbogacz’s birthday and it went missing. Students are helping me figure it out today in science! Suspects include @janinemich @kimberly_yonker @PappClass

HUGE shout to @iTeach_Middles, @Kirk_Lange07, and everyone else who supported the team this season. Hate that XC is over, but love how it ended. #TRIBE #ChannahonPride #IESA3A #girls #STATECHAMPS #boys #4THPLACE

[Mr. Papp @PappClass]

When I started coaching years ago, my goal was to find a balance between encouraging the fun found in team sports with the discipline it takes to be great. Today, that goal came to fruition. The CJHS girls XC team won a state championship & the boys took 4th! #doublepodiumday

[Mr. Papp @PappClass]

These kids weren’t just handed trophies - they earned it. They overcame every ache & pain, every ounce of sweat, and every negative thought imaginable over the course of this season and earned their spots on the podium, and I’m humbled to be one of the people they call “coach.”
