3/3 When you’re living in service, your fears go away. When you’re living in service, you feel grateful. Your material attachments diminish.
Let's try to be kinder, be more compassionate and supportive to those in need - including families forced to leave

1/3 Today is #KindnessDay
For me kindness can be any action, thought, word that you can do or take to make someone's day. No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.
How can we spread kindness? Here’s the life hack: #Service is always the answer.
2/3 Service fixes a bad day. It tempers the burdens we bear. Service helps other people and helps us. We don’t expect anything in return, but what we get is the joy of service. It’s an exchange of love. When you’re living in service, you don’t have time to complain and criticize
3/3 This playground will bring play to thousands of kids giving them the play-filled childhood they deserve.Kids from the local community & displaced children will be able to spend their free time, enjoy interacting with their peers. Nothing better than experiencing children's Joy
1/3 Yesterday we attended the playground opening ceremony in #Artashat, construction of which was funded by #UNHCR in the framework of community support projects. Since the beginning of the displacement Artashat had hosted 1000+ families from #NagornoKarabakh
2/3 Currently there are 100families displaced from NK who are living in rented apartments in Artashat. UNHCR through its partners has duly provided humanitarian assistance in the form of NFIs to the displaced families. Newly constructed playground will also benefit them 🤗
Injured personnel were traveling in a clearly marked UNHCR vehicle after distributing aid.🥺 International humanitarian and #humanrights law MUST be respected to protect humanitarian workers from violence and ensure perpetrators are brought to justice IMMEDIATELY. #NotATarget
Today, three UNHCR staff members were injured in an attack in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
I call on authorities to spare no effort in investigating and promptly holding accountable the perpetrators of this unacceptable attack.
Humanitarians are #NotATarget.

@emileghessen I've been on the premiere of this documentary 2 days ago and it was a professionally made/great one. We should be paying special tribute to all journalists for their courage & relentless committment of being in the ground during crisis and documenting the miseries of war.
Keep this all in mind and take a moment to pay tribute to humanitarian/aid workers who risk their lives all over the globe so me and you and everyone around has a chance to live in a better world.
End
It's #WorldHumanitarianDay.Today & everyday we should honor aid workers around the world who often risk their own lives to help save/improve that of others.Let's salute their courage/relentless committment 4 continuously contributing to the better future of vulnerable communities
Over the last year alone,at least 475 aid workers were killed/injured, or kidnapped 😔. Despite risks,#aid workers continue to put their lives on the line to respond to crises worldwide, including #climate-related disasters that are occurring with greater frequency and intensity.
