I’ve attended at least a thousand Masses, and I have never, not once, heard a priest trash Protestants. Not once.
I wonder how many Protestants or evangelicals can honestly say the same about what they hear regarding the Catholic Church during their Sunday services.
1/8 This is a legitimate question. And I don't think that we do our faith any favours, when we dismiss questions like these with religious clichés. As a Christian, I've come to accept that the human mind cannot fully comprehend the operations of God. But let's go further.
Catholics can join alleluia challenge.
"He who is not against us is for us." (Mark 9:40)
If people are lifting up the name of Jesus, singing praise, and praying at midnight, there’s no reason Catholics can't join in.
Through baptism, we're all part of the Body of Christ. Surrounding yourself with fellow believers to give God glory is a great thing.
Just remember:
- It's awesome for personal praise and worship.
- It doesn't replace Sunday Mass or the Sacraments
- Keep your Catholic roots grounded while enjoying the vibe.
- we are not in the season of Lent.
