We've just learned that Oscar-nominated and BAFTA award-winning sound mixer Jeff Wexler has passed away at the age of 78. His legendary works include Almost Famous, The Last Samurai, Independence Day, 42, As Good As It Gets, Jerry Maguire, Fight Club, and the list goes on.

It is with great sadness we have learned that Jeff Wexler passed away yesterday.

Jeff was a highly regarded Production Sound Mixer, and an inspiration and mentor to many of the leading mixers working today. His impact on the sound community will not be forgotten.

Rest in peace.
