NEW: Missouri high school student beats up her elderly teacher and then has a seizure while in police handcuffs.

Our school system is a mess.

The incident allegedly happened after the student left class and later returned to grab their backpack. 65-year old Sheryl Rogers told the student to wait which prompted the student to grab the backpack and assault her.

Students claim Rogers became suspicious that the student was grabbing medication from her locker. The pills were allegedly anti-seizure pills.

After the fight, the student was seen lying on the ground, having a seizure while in police handcuffs.

The woman was taken to a hospital with non-fatal injuries
