Delighted to announce that I have passed all my training and I am now a Flight Paramedic for @REVAInc
Looking forward to my 1st mission from EINN.

Just finished watching the final @thegrandtour
From filling in the dark winter evenings as a kid with my dad, watching repeats on my days off and now fitting time in between work - it's been one hell of a journey.
@JeremyClarkson@RichardHammond@MrJamesMay ... Thank you!
@DeScoite @adrmurphy@REVAInc Not entirely sure. The current aircraft has a full crew compliment but we are trying to get a second plane for the Shannon base.
Great training last week down in Cork, gaining our PHTLS qualifications. @adrmurphy took the time to teach us the pre-hospital emergency lifesaving procedures that we may encounter doing global repatriations.

@ScottHowie85@rosesusitation Thanks Scott, hi Rose. My role is pretty awesome. I work as part of a critical care flight crew that transports patients of all ages and conditions to destinations of better care via air repatriation. Happy to help you if you'd like.
@NQParaKatie @TheBlackEcho @BrokeKneeADHD That sucks! But my point was being bumped for a student midwife, who spends almost all placements there. :/
Student paras often overlooked whilst being the only registered HCPs likely to be at a pre hospital emergency.
@J__B13 @BrokeKneeADHD Between those teams and the para's running on cars, there are more opportunities for student exposure. Because the current alternative is the issue raised above. Sim training is suitable for skills used "rarely" but even getting to experience "scene management" is now rare.
@NJL_Blancq @BrokeKneeADHD Thats not terrible to be fair. Theres some students starting shift and taking over a patient already outside ED so the night crew can get home. So, multiple shifts with no actual calls.
@ScottHowie85 Find it has fantastic results when trying to help patients with dementia to become comfortable and familiar with the change of surroundings. Sometimes anyways.
Coming up to my 10th year working in pre-hospital care. Have had an absolutely awesome range of roles, training, and experiences. But let me be clear - if you ask me how to use a sling, I will fold like a lawn chair!
