Today is the 13th Anniversary since my kidney transplant from my sister which failed last year. Everyday that it worked was a blessing. Shout out to the NHS acute renal unit for performing life saving surgery and daily hemo-dialysis to keep me alive since November 2022.
A new Living Transplant Initiative is now open for submissions. This initiative aims to give more people the means and opportunity to donate a kidney, particularly where this is limited by ethnicity, culture and socio-economic circumstances. Find out more: https://t.co/XXB04QEGcK
Are you the next Syabira from Bake Off? It’s ‘Charity Big Bake’ day as part of #UKCharityWeek so if you can hold a Christmas bake sale or find another way to raise some funds for Give a Kidney this week, we’d be delighted. 3, 2, 1…bake! 🧁🧁🧁
