Numbers change the game, When there are 20 chargers in a cluster one comes free every 60 seconds. (with 20 min avg charge).

Synthetic fuel still creates harmful toxic emissions. You will still have to pay to enter the Clean Air Zones in Bristol, Birmingham, London etc.

My city has 24 year old emission control zone (AQMA) for Nitrogen Dioxide.
