Following recent news about an infant formula recall, we want to assure parents that it is safe for them to switch to another brand. There is no evidence that switching formulas does any harm.
If you are using a specialised formula, please speak to your health professional about a suitable alternative.
If you’re concerned that the formula you’re currently using may be affected, please check the Food Standards Agency (@foodgov) website for the most up-to-date recall information.

"Currently there are just 50 parent-infant teams across the UK. It is estimated that there are over 100,000 babies in the UK at risk of disorganised attachment. So teams only reach around 5 per cent of vulnerable families."
Tamora Langley has written for @politicshome about the fact that too many babies are suffering from a lack of early-months bonding.

The UK House of Lords is currently debating amendments to the Children's Wellbeing and Schools Bill. We were delighted to get a mention, as Baroness Glenys Thornton kindly thanked us for our work.
We supported Lord Simon Russell with his amendment calling for a comprehensive early years strategy, including the national rollout of #StartforLife, improved data collection and a national social care workforce plan.
In summing up the debate on Lord Russell’s amendment, Minister Jacqui Smith confirmed the government is committed to publishing a best start in life strategy this year and are strengthening family services through Family Hubs and the Start for Life programme.
On Monday we launched our #WhoIsHoldingTheBaby report for #IMHAW2025. Haven't managed to read it yet? Our short film has the headlines!
