Republicans paid $40 MILLION of your tax dollars to Morocco to invade Spain.
And then they all pretended like borders matter and clutched their pearls like invasions are offensive.
R’s and D’s are the same and the Uniparty has put us in $40 T in debt and Americans LAST.
2 weeks before migrants from Morocco invaded Ceuta, the GOP passed a bill with $40 million for Morocco and a committee report advising:
Spanish-administered cities of Ceuta and Melilla are located in Moroccan territory and remain the subject of Morocco's longstanding claim.
The American people should know: if the United States strikes Iran’s infrastructure, Trump’s entire Cabinet is liable for war crimes.
According to CBS News, the United States and Israel are preparing one of the heaviest bombing campaigns of the war against Iran’s energy infrastructure, with power plants and refineries among the intended targets and an operation possible within the next few days. The plan was reportedly discussed at a Cabinet meeting at Camp David and awaits only the President’s final order.
This is therefore not a matter to be judged after the fact. The intent has been declared in advance, as it was declared before through the President’s formula that for every Iranian action in the Strait, the United States would destroy “one bridge or power plant.” That intent can be measured against international law now, while it remains a declared course of action.
Infrastructure serving the civilian population cannot lawfully be targeted. The argument that such infrastructure may be attacked because it sustains the enemy economy is rejected by the ICRC and by the overwhelming majority of States.
Objects indispensable to civilian survival, including water and food installations, energy infrastructure, and power-generating facilities, enjoy specific protection under international humanitarian law. Water and food installations receive protection under Article 54 of Additional Protocol I, while nuclear electrical generating stations receive additional protection under Article 56.
Deliberately directing attacks against civilian objects constitutes a war crime under Article 8(2)(b)(ii) of the Rome Statute. Under United States domestic law, war crimes are also federal crimes. The War Crimes Act of 1996, codified at 18 U.S.C. § 2441, criminalizes grave breaches of the Geneva Conventions and certain other serious violations of the laws of war when committed by or against a U.S. national or member of the U.S. Armed Forces. Reprisals against civilians and collective punishment are likewise prohibited. Yet those are precisely the premises openly embraced by the President’s own formula.
From this follows the responsibility of the Cabinet. Individual criminal responsibility does not require command of the aircraft or direct participation in the strike. It attaches to anyone who contributes to a crime committed by a group acting with a common purpose, with knowledge of that purpose (Rome Statute, Article 25(3)(d)).
The Cabinet member or senior official who provides the authorization, intelligence, logistics, legal justification, or diplomatic cover for such a campaign, knowing the object and purpose of the operation, is such a contributor. The knowledge requirement is satisfied by the perpetrators’ own public declarations. Official position provides no immunity: Article 27 removes it, and grave breaches impose obligations of accountability that bind all States.
A heavier responsibility rests on those who possess the power to prevent it. A civilian superior answers for crimes committed by persons under his or her authority where that superior fails to take the necessary and reasonable measures within his or her power to prevent or repress them (Article 28(b)).
For such officials, those measures are concrete: to refuse to transmit an unlawful order, to halt the operation, to resign rather than enable it, and, acting collectively, to invoke the constitutional mechanism provided by Section 4 of the Twenty-Fifth Amendment. These safeguards exist precisely for moments when those entrusted with authority violate the limits imposed by law.
This is what transforms inaction into liability. An official who possesses lawful means to end an ongoing course of international crimes and declines to use them does not stand outside the offense. The failure to act becomes part of the chain of responsibility. To possess the constitutional tools to prevent unlawful conduct and withhold them is not neutrality. It is complicity.
@ianbremmer How about it's war crimes ? 90 million civilian which lots of them at least used to be pro western will suffer.
When it comes to middle east lots of ppl forget about human rights!!!
