🚨 LET’S GO, PIZZA MUTANTS! 🚨
We’re officially rolling out of the microwave and into the fray!
7 badass backers strong and we’ve already smashed $972 toward our $25,000 goal!
That’s real radioactive momentum, crew. Every single pledge is powering up this toxic 1987-style NES beat-'em-up like a fresh slice of Leftover Pizza Power.
If you’ve been waiting for that perfect mix of Castlevania, TMNT, and Splatterhouse chaos with co-op pizza-slingin’ action… this is your moment. Limited physical cartridges, pixel-perfect horror-comedy vibes, and that pure '80s practical-effects soul are all on the line.
We still need your help to hit the finish line and get this thing made!
Share this with your retro crew, tag that one friend who still has their NES hooked up, and let’s flood the zone with more Pizza Power!

🍕🩸 NEW PROMO DROP! Cap’n Retrovania’s Totally Toxic Pizza-Slingin’ Showdown is coming to NES and Switch!
Are you ready to sling toxic pizza and bash mutant freaks in this 8-bit horror beat-’em-up? 2-player co-op madness is headed to physical NES cartridge and Switch later this year!
The year is 1987. Halloween night in the sleepy California coastal town of Pitchfork Cove. When corporate surf ghoul Lord Sludge unleashes his experimental radioactive toxic pizza sauce ooze, Cap’n Retrovania’s Pizzeria & Arcade becomes ground zero for the apocalypse. Only Cap’n Retrovania and his Arcade Commandos — Toxic Tommy and Slice Sally — can stop the nightmare army!
We’re LIVE on Kickstarter!
Currently at 28 backers and $3,318 raised.
Help us hit $25,000 so we can start development and drop a killer demo by October!

@RetrovaniaLand@atonofglaciers Playing devil's advocate here: it's not easy to find artists, or even worse, devs to work with NES. But if you already found them, it's not a problem.

Today, I’m going to introduce one of my development tools. This trackball was originally designed for the MSX, but I modified it to connect directly to the Famicom. All the pixel art and animations for *METALSLADER GLORY* were created using this trackball and a Twin Famicom.
The Super Mario Bros. sticker album was another Brazilian product licensed by Nintendo back when there were only pirated consoles and games available here. It’s actually kind of funny to see that even some of the screenshots are clearly from pirated versions of Nintendo games.
Nintendo released official Mario merchandise in Brazil even before officially launching its video games there.
In other words, it knew full well that all the Mario fans who would buy these licensed products were players of pirated cartridges and consoles!
