Superb start to the morning for P4M, using Emotion Works and the ‘Inside Out’ characters to explore the feelings & emotions experienced before, during and after Scotlands Qualifier match last week.

#MathsWeekScot P4 made some All about Me posters but focussed around what numbers are important in our lives e.g. age, year of birth, class points, family members etc. They also used technology to create bar graphs showing P4 favourites @ParkPSClacks

#MathsWeekScot P7M learned about Pi & how we use it to find the circumference of a circle. We then learned about Haikus, Japanese poems that have a specific number of syllables in each line. Finally we made Pi-kus - poems with the same number of syllables as Pi! @ParkPSClacks

#mathsweekscot P5 designed a front cover and wrote a story about Finn Finity, a shape and a number. As part of their interdisciplinary learning they completed Harry Potter themed Lego Challenges. They also created some Mondrian Art and some Figure Me Out posters. @ParkPSClacks

#mathsweekscot P2 used "How many feet in the bed?" by Diane Johnston Hamm and "10 Little Monsters" by Mike Brownlow to help count in twos. Numicon was used for addition and counting on by building Numicon Cities and monsters... and much more ....@ParkPSClacks

Our senior pupils carried out another litter pick today & filled 16 bags in total. They then educated several members of the passing public about safe recycling & the effects of litter @ vape cartridges in their community. @KSBScotland @ClacksEducation @ClacksCouncil Clean Up 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Today @ParkPSClacks participated in the ‘Speak Out, Stay Safe’Campaign. P3, P6 & P7 will now take part in guided workshops led by the @NSPCC We looked at the support in place to help keep children safe, advice on children’s mental health & online safety. 💙💛🤍 @ClacksEducation

Today, Primary 1,2,3 & 7 @ParkPSClacks were developing their skills in Mathematics using small parts during our outdoor collaborative free play and, also identifying vital links with science, literacy and STEM. @STEMLearningUK @ClacksEducation #Mathematics
