This morning was a real glimpse of what happens when old-school magic collides with modern-day old-school in Will McCrary (@willmccrary_22), better known as Big Country. Mono o mono. No shortcuts. No space given. Just two strong wills meeting in the paint. Early on, the clash went his way as Big Country powered through and finished with authority, letting it be known he was ready for every bit of smoke that came with it.

That moment flipped a switch.
Because when it was my turn, I knew I had to go to another level. It felt like looking in a mirror. Same edge. Same toughness. Same hunger. The crowd leaned in as I went deeper into my offensive bag, the kind this generation doesn’t get to see in real time. No bounce needed. Just leverage, timing, angles, and strength earned over years. Every bump was answered. Every step forward was taken on purpose. That revenge bucket wasn’t pretty. It was physical. It was personal. And it was mine.
Still love. Still respect. But make no mistake, that possession mattered.

When I told him it was my ball, his last words were simple. Bring it. And I did. Afterward, the moment softened with a smile and mutual respect, both of us knowing exactly what just happened. Old school basketball is still alive, still breathing, and in good hands with Will McCrary, Big Country, carrying it forward into another generation.

Just remember this.
