Year 12 students went to London on Friday for the UK University and Apprenticeship Search Fair and came back with lots of useful information and advice about all the opportunities and options available to them after they finish their Diploma!

At the end of November, Dr J Perez-Silva come in as a speaker to talk to Year 12 about using technology in a biology research career.

Last week some Year 12 and Year 11 students went to a Maths Inspiration event. They listened to a range of talks including the maths behind juggling patterns, non-Euclidean geometry in computer games and understanding risk. https://t.co/LUfe0pC9r1

The results for the “Senior Maths Challenge” are now in and two Y12s from Parkside Sixth achieved in the top 10% of students worldwide, receiving a Gold Certificate and booking themselves a coveted place in the next round later this month.

During the Spanish lesson, we did a thought-provoking speaking task about conserving cultural identity.
It was fascinating to see the Year 12 students take pride in their own cultural backgrounds while appreciating others. #CulturalIdentity #LanguageEnthusiasts

We were really pleased to run a leadership workshop for our student leaders on with Tim Hall from @CitizensUK. Students will be taking their learning out to the school through the three student leadership committees of responsibility, Community and Excellence.
