Deus me livre do cidadão de bem!

I’m truly sorry you went through that, I really am. but I want to make it clear that situations like this happen everywhere, not just in Brazil or LATAM.
This year, I went to Gov Ball in New York and experienced the worst possible scenario, from being pushed around in the security line by around 10 korean girls who cut in front of me (I was literally kicked multiple times and ended up with bruises all over my body) to being told I couldn’t drink water or even simply put my brazilian flag somewhere when there was more than enough space on the barricade.
While everyone else at the barricade was holding spots for people so they could go get water or use the bathroom, I was threatened that if I chose to leave, I could go, but I wouldn’t be allowed back to my spot. and that’s fine… when you choose to be at the barricade, you understand that you might not be able to leave. but I watched everyone around me doing exactly that, while I was the one being prevented from doing it.
My phone got completely ruined and I asked the people around me for help, only for them to turn their backs on me. I was left lost in the rain, shaking, with no way to communicate with my friends.
Unfortunately, these absurd situations happen all over the world. but you only seem to talk about them when they happen in Brazil and I would genuinely like to understand why.
I’m sorry that some brazilians did this to you. I hope we can all look at ourselves and understand that we are all equal, regardless of our skin color, race, culture or where we come from.
