Thanks @RollingStone and to all of the small farmers and growers that were willing to share their stories with me, most of them where financial hope is hardly in view, it’s just survival.
The state wasn’t able to open legal dispensaries on time, but they licensed growers in 2021 to be able to supply a full market via an ags program. Many will not survive the next 6-12 months without legislative intervention. (There is currently a relief package struggling to make it into this years budget.)

Turkish Photojournalist Vural Elibol with Anadolu Agency was thrown to the ground by ICE agents conducting a detention in federal court. Mr Elibol was unable to move, having to be placed on a stretcher and taken to a local hospital.
In Suffolk county -- only one man was able to have his felony expunged after he reargued the decision in court. The judge found that his felony made him eligible for deportation despite it being a fine under the current law. The judge reversed his own decision.

Legislators passed sweeping legislation via the MRTA that allowed for a swift vacature process. And it's swift in many places, like Brooklyn. But in other counties like Suffolk County, for example, the DA has opposed nearly all the motions since 2021.
