Conversations about mental health can make a real difference - it’s World Mental Health Day tomorrow. This year’s theme is ‘Lived experiences heard: real voices, real change’, so I wanted to share a few things I do to look after my mental health.
Whether it’s getting fresh air by the lake, playing golf or valuable time with the kids, it's important to have moments which help me switch off, recharge and reset.
Let's keep talking.
We need to bring back innocent love. Everything is so sexualized nowadays that people think intimacy is only physical and everyone rushes you into bed. Please bring back courting a woman, letting the man make the first move, kissing her hand when you meet her, giving her your jacket, making her blush, writing love letters, reading together, exploring each other’s minds, walking slowly so the conversation never ends. A slow burn. A soul to soul connection. A deeply romantic love
Tyler Perry really outdid himself with this one! such an amazing, heartfelt story. no unnecessary cussing, no explicit scenes, just good old fashioned acting, emotion, and a story that actually makes you feel something.
this was AMAZING. easily a 10/10. 🔥
The biggest enemy in this movie was Trina. You stole your mom’s settlement money, had your own salon but you couldn’t be a co-signer for your sister 🤦♂️.
Some siblings are actually terrible! If there’s ever a Part 2, I need a whole storyline dedicated to Trina’s suffering!
Lessons learnt from Doing Life by Tyler Perry
1. The right person can come into your life at the most unexpected and weirdest time. You can either let fear ruin it or faith take it where it needs to go
2. Give yourself a chance at life. You may not get everything right the first time, and that’s okay.
3. When God gives you a chance to redeem yourself, TAKE IT. Don’t let your past define you.
4. Be mindful of the company you keep. (Family too!)
5. Sometimes people will keep you at their level simply because they never allowed themselves to dream bigger.
6. Money does NOT define a man. A man can have money and still have an ugly spirit.
Look for a man who displays the fruits of the Spirit love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
I could honestly go on and on, but this movie was AMAZING. It really made me think about life, growth, redemption, and the people we allow into our lives and letting go of fear And trusting the unknown
Haz de tu casa un lugar donde pasen cosas bonitas. Pon música. Cocina algo rico. Invita a tus amigos. Desayuna lento cuando puedas. Ten plantas. Abre las ventanas. Celebra las buenas noticias. No necesitas estar de vacaciones para disfrutar tu vida. Algunos de los mejores días de tu vida pueden ser un domingo cualquiera en casa.
Suella Braverman, consider Walter Tull.

If your definition of Englishness excludes a man like him, it is your definition that needs challenging.
