🐠 ParrotFishETH: 2 Months of Ocean Cleanup Impact (March 14 – May 13, 2025)

ParrotFish’s Mission in Action
For the past two months, ParrotFish has been on a solo mission to clean our oceans—one beach at a time—as part of Clean to Earn, the world’s first blockchain-based program that rewards people for collecting ocean trash.

From March 14 to May 8, ParrotFish personally removed 2,139 kg (2.139 tons) of trash across 24 beaches in the Philippines, helping protect marine life and restore coastal ecosystems.

🌍 Total Impact

🗑️ Trash Collected: 2,139 kg
♻️ Recyclables: 177 kg
🚯 Non-Recyclables: 1,962 kg

📍 Beaches Cleaned: 24 (including Sumaliring, Lagtangon, Antulang, Silliman, Bonawon)

🔧 Cleanup Days: 25 logged days (March 25–May 8), plus 10 pre-logged days

📆 March Highlights: A Strong Start
ParrotFish kicked off the mission on March 14, removing an impressive 1 ton of trash within the first 10 days.

From March 25 onward, detailed cleanup logs began at Sumaliring and Lagtangon, collecting 67.25 kg of waste including syringes, fishing nets, plastic bottles, and more.

By March 31, the cumulative total hit 1,216.5 kg—a powerful statement of what one person can achieve with purpose and perseverance.

🌱 May Highlights: Keeping the Momentum
In May, ParrotFish continued strong at sites like Tambobo Bay, Silliman Beach, and Bonawon Beach:
May 1 @ Tambobo Bay: 33 kg removed (plastic bottles, old ropes, broken styrofoam)

May 6 @ Brgy 3, Siaton: 39 kg removed (plastic bottles, fishing nets)

Total for May (till May 8): 230 kg removed over 7 cleanup days
