[Parrot Security @ParrotSec]

The future of cybersecurity demands complete transparency. This applies not just to the software we deploy, but also the silicon it runs on. 💻

A few months ago we brought Parrot to RISC-V. Today, @palinurosec wants to dive deeper into why this shift is so critical for our industry.

For years proprietary hardware architectures have served as the black boxes of technology industry. They introduce potential vulnerabilities and supply chain risks that are often beyond the reach of traditional auditing. By bridging our complete open source security framework with RISC-V, an open standard instruction set architecture, we are closing the critical gap between hardware and software.

An open arsenal for an open chip.

Operating on open silicon is a foundational shift towards verifiable and comprehensive trust in security operations; it means professionals can finally rely on an environment that is transparent and auditable from the hardware level all the way up to the application layer.
