Yesterday @JenLeighMoss talked about ‘time off tax’. I know this tax well from a work perspective but even more costly is the cost of ‘time off tax’ as a caregiver to a senior parent. At work there are people to take on those urgent task while you are away.
You know, if it wasn’t for the senior parent in my home I would get rid of this aggravation in my life called Rogers. After spending several hours chatting with Penny through ‘Anna’ there is still no TV for the senior to watch!!! 🧵
a legacy NextBox which is no longer supported by Rogers to the more expensive ignite box. Phone said store, no one answers. Answering machine says to email them. Call another store, no answer but I can leave a message.
Early Childhood Educators are the backbone of our Canada-wide child care system. We need to support them.
We will work on a workforce strategy that will focus on recruitment, and recognizing the immeasurable work they do to provide our kids with the best possible start in life.
“The road to a better way runs through science” In discussion about evidence-informed policy approaches Zubin Austin made this statement. I can’t help but continue to reflect on this as I think about the workforce crisis and workplace culture in ELCC.
