This is the arrest of Waleed Saeed.

He was sentenced today in London to 16 years in prison for 17 offences including catfishing, sextortion, rape, making indecent images of children and sexual offences.

He used fake profiles (100+ aliases) pretending to be women or trans women to target young men online.

He tricked the men into sending sexual images and then blackmailed them by threatening to expose them to their work, community or family.

He had 5 confirmed victims but police believe it might have been as many as 70 victims.

One victim was lured to a park where Saeed raped him multiple times.

He pleaded guilty to most offences but a jury convicted him on the rape charge.
