@SunderlandUK Hi, grit bins on South Bents Ave & Mulgrave drive are both almost empty, could I request they be topped up please so that residents can ensure roads/pavements are clear - lots of vulnerable people by Mulgrave Drive who need to be able to use the pavements. Thank you!

@MittenDAmour Same the first time I went on the depo, once I had the full horrors back, I decided to stick with it, I couldn’t face it all (had polyps as well). I hope your surgery is soon, you can be looking forward to a very healthy Christmas!

@MittenDAmour Feel as though you’re just making a fuss. Absolutely not. And if you go for the surgery, insist on morphine and some to take home, because they don’t want you to have that either. First couple days painful, then it’s fine. Cheers to your journey into health now! xx

@MittenDAmour For years, and it stopped the periods and the adeno pain. You bloat/gain weight on it, but it compares really with hysterectomy in terms of effectiveness. At least for me. So happy you’re getting help, it’s thoroughly miserable and even the women who have easy periods make you

@MittenDAmour Wasn’t so bad as a surgery, I’d also had chemical menopause before surgery (hideous!!) but the ageing aspect is quite hard. The advice you should never lift heavy again etc, all quite hard. But my pain is gone and I don’t live in fear of periods. I’d been on the depo injection

@MittenDAmour I had the multiple invasive surgeries and honestly, I wish they hadn’t made it out as a threat for so long! I didn’t have them until 2018/19/20 and I’d always been put off by the gaslighting that said it would all be a waste of time and I should stop being silly. The hysterectomy

@TeenyBella All the big online pharmacies are allowed to sell it, but you have to pay for a consultation first. Might be worth going via them to check if the uk would recommend you take it (we’re pretty sensible about prescribing - if it’s a bad idea, they’ll tell you)

@TeenyBella Yeah, if you hit the prescribing criteria (big BMI + another obesity related condition- BP/cholesterol etc.)

@TeenyBella Has being overweight become a bigger thing in Vietnam since I was there about 15 years ago? Thinking culture there must have changed a lot especially with regard to eating.

@TeenyBella Some of the risks are scary - pancreatitis that can be critical, also emergency gallbladder surgery. I wouldn’t fancy it via that route (& I buy all sorts without prescriptions). I think later GLP-1 drugs will be less risky and better for that route.

@TeenyBella Have had the same but probably not actually hitting the criteria to get it prescribed (the additional problems with BP/cholesterol/etc). Also it is likely to get gallbladder problems on it (already got them!) so I might not be a good candidate for it. I’d say if you can get a dr

@TeenyBella Also, you don’t really want Ozempic, you really want Mounjaro - more effective, fewer side effects. But it costs the same there as it does here by the sounds! We’re looking at going private for him.

@TeenyBella Yep, so probably in answer to your question on cost, they’re probably paying a single NHS charge every month or so, but the actual prescribing criteria (obese with weight related illness that requires treatment) means nothing and it’s almost impossible for anyone to get.
