I sat down with @DrSidharth22 Col. Sidharth Shukla (Indian Army veteran) and @carlwheless SSG Carl Wheless (US Army combat veteran, Iraq) for a no-spin conversation on the substance of this partnership.
We covered: • Cold War divides → post-nuclear deal shift • Indigenous defence wins (Pinaka exports) vs “kill switch” concerns on foreign systems • Shifting geopolitics, recent conflicts & open-source reality • Why veterans on both sides see this moment as full of potential
Real military perspectives. Honest talk about sovereignty, history, and where we go from here.

Inspired by @CJP_for_India I too staged my CONSTITUTIONAL protest against the fascistic government of @narendramodi & mismanagement of @dpradhanbjp & the heavy handed tactic of @DelhiPolice. Please amplify so the revolution may spread! Laal Salaam!
@PowerTrain_YT Debatable. It depends if the community can install shared charging stations in the society, like in mine. Dedicated parking would also make it possible. If we are to electrify transportation, somewhere someone must foot the bill.
Putin on how India should deal with America.
"India always acts as a sovereign country. Under the leadership of PM Modi, any potential threat of sanctions would boomerang immediately," Putin

Congratulations @OilIndiaLimited !
An ocean of energy opportunities reinforced in the Andaman Sea!
Very happy to report the presence of natural gas in Sri Vijayapuram-3 an exploratory well drilled by Oil India Ltd. 15 km off the east coast of the Andaman Islands at a water depth of 355 meters.
Initial production testing of the well at the depth of 1900 plus meters in the Eocene formation has established the presence of natural gas through continuous flaring.
Oil India is carrying out gas sampling to assess the composition & calorific value of gas and to carry out isotope studies to understand the genesis of the gas.
Under the Samudra Manthan Mission (National Deep Water Exploration Mission) announced by Hon’ble PM @narendramodi Ji on Independence Day 2025, large number of deepwater & Ultra deepwater exploration wells are planned in our offshore basins to fully exploit our hydrocarbon reserves.
Presence of hydrocarbon is now reported in 2(Two) wells out of 3 (Three) exploratory wells drilled by OIL in current exploratory campaign off Andaman Basin.
This presence of natural gas will help us in taking forward our exploration ambitions in coordination with global deepwater exploration experts like @petrobras, @TotalEnergies, @bp_india, @Shell, @exxonmobil and will be a significant milestone in our journey through Amrit Kaal!

The Epstein files have set the bar so low that some people are beginning to look like saints. Whatever else you may think of Hunter, at least he’s not a pedophile.

If I were that young officer and asked for an explanation, I would have simply described it as an honest expression of love.
If I were his Commanding Officer, having sought an explanation, I would have been satisfied with that reply.
Youngsters often do things that reveal who they truly are and what they are made of when bullets start flying. Have we ever stopped to ask why they lead the charge into a hail of machine-gun fire? Is that normal?
Soldiering is far above the ordinary and only a notch below what some might call the extraordinary. Putting one's life in the line of fire is never easy.
An explanation must certainly be sought so that such actions do not become the norm. But follow-up disciplinary action? If I were the CO, I would not pursue it.
And I am not saying this off the top of my head.
Just before taking over as the Chief of Army Staff, late General Bipin Rawat visited our Corps Headquarters at Bathinda. This was around the time when Major Gogoi had tied a man to his jeep to prevent a hostile crowd from injuring his troops through relentless stone pelting.
During an interaction with officers, I raised the issue of the growing "zero-error syndrome" and asked General Rawat why the young officer should not be rewarded rather than subjected to disciplinary proceedings. After a couple of exchanges, he assured the gathering that the officer's case was being examined holistically.
This is neither to suggest nor claim that the subsequent award of a commendation card to Major Gogoi resulted from that interaction. Rather, the larger discussion that day was about young officers and the need for the system to accommodate certain aberrations in exceptional circumstances.
It also illustrated how the Army functions. A Colonel openly discussing such an issue with the future COAS, in the presence of the senior-most leadership, speaks volumes about the institutional strength and confidence of our organisation.
I wonder if @LtGenDPPandey Sir remembers what he whispered in my ear that day...
Those who subscribe to my stories know well how such conversations unfold in the Army.

After listening to Lalit Modi, one question keeps coming back:
Is someone deliberately keeping the myth of Dawood Ibrahim alive?
For nearly three decades, every few months a familiar headline appears:
“Dawood seriously ill.”
“Dawood poisoned.”
“Dawood dead.”
“Dawood shifted.”
“Dawood spotted.”
Yet there is never conclusive proof.
At this point, Dawood Ibrahim is either the most closely protected fugitive in modern history—or the most useful ghost in South Asian geopolitics.
A living Dawood serves many interests.
For Pakistan’s establishment, acknowledging his presence would be diplomatic suicide.
For intelligence agencies, the possibility of his existence remains a valuable pressure point.
For sections of the media, the “Dawood story” guarantees headlines, clicks and endless speculation.
For political actors across the region, he remains a convenient symbol whenever narratives need reinforcement.
The real question is no longer whether Dawood is alive.
The real question is:
Who benefits from the uncertainty?
In intelligence operations, information is power.
But sometimes ambiguity is even more powerful than information.
A dead man closes a chapter.
A man whose status remains unknown keeps the chapter open indefinitely.
Perhaps the biggest success of the Dawood network was not escaping justice.
Perhaps it was creating a legend so useful that nobody wants to officially end the story.

🚨 RISE IN HINDUPHOBIA MAKING DISRESPECT COMMONPLACE
From hostile “Stop the Hindu Takeover” billboards to disruptions at Hindu temples, a troubling pattern is emerging that deserves far more attention.
Imagine the national outrage if a church, synagogue, mosque, or gurdwara were targeted in the same way. Religious freedom doesn’t stop at the temple gate.
Hindus have responded peacefully, but peace should not be mistaken for acceptance of intimidation.
Federal and state authorities must start taking anti-Hindu hate seriously, investigate incidents thoroughly, and ensure that every American can worship without fear of harassment or disruption. The clear apathy toward Hindu plights is very disturbing and disgusting. Safe Havens will be optional.
Equal rights. Equal protections. Equal enforcement under the constitution.
You want the young officer to sacrifice his life for the love of the Nation, but you don’t want him to express his love for his fiancée.
In the Army we say ‘Youngster nahi karega, toh kaun karega’.
If you can not find a fault in his professional capabilities, don’t do this nuktachini for such a pure gesture of love and belonging.
Military equipment has been on display during many ‘Know your Army’ exhibitions around the country. The students and non military personnel have clicked pics with it showing pride and love for the Army. So, please don’t bring in the national security angle into this.
Let the young soldier do his national duty with pride and honour 👍
