With no official announcement but it being on public record, the coaching news I mentioned weeks ago has finally been confirmed. Both Matt Braeuer and Colby Carthel have signed extensions! This includes a bump in their staff pay as well as an increase in their buyout πͺπͺπͺ

I used to feel so much attachment to college sports.
Now you canβt even get attached to the freshman on the bench of your mid major who flashed some minor potential while averaging one shot / game. They, and everyone else, are likely only there for one season anyway.
This is so rare in today's transfer culture.... And honestly we are so impressed and kinda jealous. Respect to these boys for being committed to their squad and coaches. π«‘
Making an official adjustmentβ¦Musaka will be gone and Bryceson Melvin is hanging on the edge between wanting more opportunity and staying. Not sure Coach (or I) thinks heβs done enough to hang one foot out of the door, if thatβs the case.
Let's just remind everyone that the transfer portal time frame is a dumpster fire and absolutely ridiculous so let's just breathe and reconvene after it's closed. We will see who is here and who isn't and just move forward. This is college sports now and there's nothing to be done. Unless you have like $20000000000 laying around somewhere and want to donate it to the Sawmill NIL. That'll help.
