Had a great time at Momocon this year - Was awesome to be able to commentate for an event like this & meet so many cool people. Thanks for da memories o7
Genuinely, who is this game for?
It’s not free like Fall Guys ($20 asking price) - it doesn’t have IP pull like Smash, it’s a PARTY game (need multiple people to play).
It’s an amalgamation of ideas that end up having no clear identity. Why does this exist?
Fortnite is free
Lock in your fav fairy tale & queue up for a brand new party fighter in Punch Upon a Time!
- think Smash meets Fall Guys
- your squad against the world
- play through rounds of 40+ modes and mini-games
- last team standing wins!

@Donut0727@8BitClosedFist Comparing Deadlock (game with great artstyle/hella unique character designs) to this game is straight up insulting LMAO I’m done comversing with you 💀 keep this game alive brudda
@armandazo Don’t confuse me with a ball & gun gamer. I’d rather see risks taken for more original games & ideas than Smash Clone #57 with the blandest ideas imaginable.
To anyone caping for this game, if the player base is past 200 after a month (if it even gets that high in the first place) I’d be genuinely surprised.
@Donut0727@8BitClosedFist OW = Original game made by big af dev team, does its own things that differentiated it from TF2
Marvel Rivals = similar, 3rd person, can play as insanely popular super hero IP
idt you can compare playing as SPIDERMAN to playing as “Big Bad Wolf” lmao
@8BitClosedFist My confusion stems from the fact that games like this already exist on the market (and are higher quality/cheaper/etc)
Why would people play this instead of those?
@MrBeastIsrael Kinda moving today but imagine minigames from warioware map or smash adjacent things (stay in spotlight, knock opponent out of blast zone/into thing) or “smashketball” & its variance. Theres “variety” but hardly any depth/interest imo
@doublea_ron6 that for the most fun part of this game you'd need 12 ppl in one lobby and this game likely won't crack 100 players online a month after release (if that)
So ppl who want to experience the full party mode would have to wait in forever when they could be playing something else.
@MrBeastIsrael As a big enjoyer of Slap City, I agree - but this game didn't even feel good🙃minigames felt like quantity over quality and a lot of waiting inbetween
@kaz_maniandevil every platfighter in existence has a way to take a “break” from being sweaty lol
FFA, items on, stage variety, diff game modes/modifications, etc
@MapleUltra Yeah that’s true, but it was also 6 years ago during peak pandemic times & one of a kind 🙂↕️
Lowkey if this game were f2p I don’t think it’d succeed either, but putting a $20 entry on a game that’s just “smash bros, but with mini games!” is…somethin.
