FINAL: Alexandria pulls away with a 33-0 win over Sartell-St. Stephen. The Cardinals (4-5) get a second shot at Moorhead as they play a semifinal game against the Spuds (5-2) in Moorhead on Saturday at 6 p.m. Moorhead won the regular-season matchup 37-31 on Sept. 24.
Done deal. The Alexandria girls golf team wins its fourth state championship in program history and first in the Class AAA field. The Cardinals grabbed control early today after trailing by two strokes coming in. They never looked back in beating Maple Grove.

"My dad has been a coach my whole life,” Sansted said. “My mom and dad met coaching basketball, so basketball is just in my blood. I’m just really thankful for that and my family.”
