The Institute's new report, 'Advancing High-Performance Sports: Victoria-India Opportunities' was launched at the Melbourne Global Centre-Delhi by Victorian Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events, @Steve_Dimo in New Delhi last night.

Authored by Parul Nadar, Maisha Samiha and Darryl J. Mohr, the report builds on the Victorian Government's 'Victoria’s India Strategy: Our Shared Future 2025-30', which seeks to strengthen the existing people-to-people links between Victoria and India and to enhance trade and investment opportunities in priority growth sectors to deliver positive outcomes for both regions.

“From grassroots, community, and club sports to elite pathways leading to international Olympic and Paralympic competition, the Institute’s research examines the critical roles of both government and the private sector in supporting all levels of sports participation,” says CEO @Lisa_Singh

Ambedkar was a thinker ahead of his time. The politics done in his name today, tragically, is behind its own time.

We must recover not just his critique of caste, but his legacy as India’s first and perhaps only democratic theorist. For him, democracy was not a gift from nationalism or socialism — it was a way of life rooted in fraternity, not just liberty.

He defined democracy as “a method of government to bring about revolutionary changes… without bloodshed.” That vision still eludes us.

What we need now is Ambedkarism 2.0 — not as an academic project, but as a political mission to rescue our endangered republic.
