This week I had the opportunity to see these farms in Raichur. As per Food and Agriculture Organization of the United States, 70 % of India's rural households still depend primarily on agriculture for their livelihood. Saving water is crucial for agriculture.

Not only does acid rain negatively impact ecosystems, but it also
dissolves nutrients that are essential for trees to be healthy. It causes aluminum to be released into the soil, which makes it difficult for trees to take up water.

Nearly 27% of water samples from 23 districts in Punjab have been found unfit for human consumption amidst outbreaks of waterborne diseases in the state.

2. Reuse greywater.
3. A good ol' bucket over a shower.
4. Use rain water.
5. Washing machines at full load only.
