I’ve been thinking about how differently movies are made, especially when it comes to what we’re actually shown.

Some filmmakers intentionally leave questions unanswered, creating mysteries they know fans will debate long after the movie ends. Others try to explain almost everything, yet we still find continuity errors, unexplained moments or little bloopers hiding in plain sight.

Then you have movies like Marvel and DC, where it gets even more complicated. You’re dealing with comics as source material, CGI/VFX, practical effects, different writers, directors and stories stretching across multiple movies. Sometimes what looks like a mistake is actually explained somewhere else. Sometimes the movie changed the comic rule completely. And sometimes… it really does look like they messed up.

That’s what makes analysing movies interesting to me. Not just finding “mistakes”, but figuring out what was intentional, what has an explanation, what was changed from the source material, and what genuinely doesn’t add up.

On the cliffside of Vormir, Natasha and Clint did not fight because they wanted to sacrifice themselves.

They fought because they wanted to deny each other the painful debt of being the one who survived.

Red Skull explained to them that a soul had to be traded in order to get the Soul Stone.

Clint tried to jump off the cliff because he wanted to erase the dark years he spent acting as the killer Ronin.

Natasha tackled him to the ground because she wanted to ensure that her own ledger of past mistakes was finally wiped clean.

Natasha’s death was not actually an act of love for Clint. Instead, it was about her inability to live with the quiet emptiness that would come after the war was over.

She chose the cliff because dying to win a stone was much easier for her than trying to figure out who she actually was without a mission to fight for.

Who was being more selfish:

Captain Marvel’s role in Endgame is actually interesting.

She wasn’t there to replace the Avengers…she was the heavy hitter they could call when things got out of control.
She saves Tony, destroys Thanos’ ship, and even tanks a hit from Thanos.

But notice what happens next…

Thanos has to use the Power Stone just to knock her back. 👀
So why was someone this powerful kept away from most of the final battle?

Was Marvel intentionally limiting Captain Marvel to keep the original Avengers’ story intact?
