A lot of focus today on site: we have made great progress in the apse and removed most of the inner deposit (more to come on this in the future...) and our students developed their drawing and planning skills #lyminge #EarlyMedieval #workingshot

!!Star find alert!!
What a day we’ve had! We thought the c14th coin would be hard to beat but this find really outshone for all of us as find of the dig so far; Gabor and his youngest assistant once again talk us through #Lyminge #EarlyMedieval #AngloSaxon #churcharchaeology

Tuesday’s excitement.

What a find! We’ve just recovered this lovely clipped silver 14th century penny from a remaining path surface in the “island” between the apse walls #lyminge #archaeology #medievaltwitter #numismatics #tuesdayisthenewfridayfind
