@goldenpants013@Sports__Proj Where on the trade off between optimisation and level stakes do you aim for with your "one box" exposure? Similarly what % of your total exposure is your one box exposure?
@jamesaknight There's a clear line between racing under rules (info public, required to try etc) and what's done as part of training (private, not under rules).
This is fine actually
@AKBets Late to the game - but barrier trials are the biggest nothing burger ever? Do you expect a report on every horse's daily canter? I'd be angry if the BHA prioritised reporting on them over any of the 1000 other things they could do for integrity or growth
@VaughanLewis1 @SEYids1882 @jamesaknight@djbradshaw64 Grew up eventing/riding until ~25. I know he can feel each foot hit the ground.
Anyway, suspect we won't agree - but think this is really obviously Paul using "how many winners have you ridden" to lie (even if he wouldn't have known the horse was that badly injured)
@VaughanLewis1 @SEYids1882 @jamesaknight@djbradshaw64 Very hard to tell that they've broken their back but pretty easy to tell they're not moving right. He's probably spent 100,000 hours on a horse and is one of the best ever jockeys - if I can see, he can feel it
@SEYids1882 @VaughanLewis1@jamesaknight@djbradshaw64 Don't think he should have stopped (different story if they was another fence). And yep lots of times they lose their actions for 50m and then are grand, or have a less serious injury. But no way he didn't feel the horse literally not put his feet in the right order
@VaughanLewis1@jamesaknight@djbradshaw64 Find the absolute belief in what Paul's saying a bit mad. There's a 0% chance he couldn't feel the horse putting feet down in a different order. These lads would be able to tell they lost a shoe. (He also couldn't have known it was that serious an injury)
@EmilyMaher11084 He deserves to be starting 10 for the foreseeable - but he's been Ireland's worst player for 2/3 starts and today was "good". His statement performance was that he was average today (and made 1/2 of the tough kicks).
@brodders_be Would be a lot of blank rows on that sheet as they definitely don't keep separate ratings (see old edge of entering for a handicap pre Cheltenham to lock in favourable mark)
@jamesaknight Would say the same is true for customers. Claude will do the 101 version so you'll have more breakeven modellers but getting really good is still really hard and probably not worth it for the big syndicates (accept the direction of travel, just not the degree)
@UghEffortOfThis Would have been let go if Beirne hadn't turned it over (and Beirne wouldn't have gotten the turn over if he wasn't there). No option to swallow the whistle given Beirne had the ball
