Before you freak out, remember that all award shows are literally popularity contests. And very few vtubers pull the numbers that Peanut does. Also, the whole him hating vtubers thing is a bit. He's genuinely a funny guy, loves to troll and rage bait. Hence why his community nominated him specifically in this category... to rage bait him back lol.

It's not that serious. The Vtubers big enough to win this award wouldn't benefit from it either way lol. In fact, the other nominees will see more traffic from people going into their chats to "dunk on em" or Peanut fans discovering vtubers from him winning THIS award.

This hurts 0 people, and benefits everyone.

There is no definition to what a Vtuber is. I don't think trying to define it is beneficial to the community that is about pushing boundaries of streaming.

Peanut puts a lot of creativity in his streams and work that is Vtuber adjacent at the very least.

When instead we could congratulate him, and show that we're welcoming to both him and his community that don't know Vtubers. And potentially show that we aren't sore losers, that we aren't a gated community, and that we accept all types of creators.

Before the elitists and haters start saying “he’s not a real vtuber” you’re also telling png vtubers and other vtubers who don’t “spend money” on their models that they’re not real vtubers either.

V stands for virtual not anime. He’s virtual, entertaining and hilarious and obviously his community showed up for him. You guys just sound jealous to me.

Regardless if he doesn’t consider himself a vtuber he does fit the category. It’s clear whatever he’s doing is working.
