I’m biased but I still think this was one of the greatest ever achievements in football. Incredible to think that a team of “rejects” and a “joker” for a manager did what they did. But underneath it all was talent and inspiration. A talented players and an inspiring manager.
🗣️ "I believe that we can go there and score and win the match."
And that we did.
One of the greatest nights in our history #OnThisDay in 2010.

Whatever your thoughts about the current plight of our club, our priority now MUST be to get the team across the line. We can make a difference and need to show the lads that WE are up for the fight and they must be too. Show up, make noise, never give up. 🍊🧡👊
@Robert_P_Curtis I thought the ref was poor but there were 11 men on the pitch worse than him so have to get our own house in order before we criticise him. What annoys me is that Husband will get a 3 match ban for that (likely to be increased) and their guy gets nothing for a dreadful challenge
Gosh we so so so bad today but for Husband to be the one that gets a red card for this awful. A truly dreadful challenge that didn’t need to be made. Fair play to Plymouth by the way and incredible support given it’s February!
Dominated the second half?? Really. I’m very happy with a point and probably about afair but don’t con people. Having control of the ball but doing nothing with it doesn’t constitute dominating. Proven to be a fraud in past and will prove to be a fraud at Hudds. Shame. Top club.
Without doubt Mick Payne is one of the best match summarisers I’ve heard on the radio. Clearly knows his stuff and connects with his audience. He is great to listen to.
Blackpool Football Club’s appeal against James Husband’s red card against Port Vale has been unsuccessful.
The Club is disappointed with this decision and has asked for further clarity on the reasons for upholding the suspension.

Stepped away from his role at the FA to focus on his refereeing career. Suggest he goes back to the FA. I don’t for one minute believe he is bent or corrupt and will not question his integrity. He is totally incompetent though and consistently makes wrongs calls.
Once again, another joke of a red card given by Ed Duckworth for us. Jordan Rhodes two years ago and now this. Disgraceful that he’s reffing in the EFL let alone another Blackpool game.
Suspect he is for the axe soon. It’s one thing deluding yourself, it’s another deluding the fans. Wigan were marginally the better of two poor teams in the first half and then subs changed the game in the second.
But they don’t though. Local newspapers are dead. Fans don’t rely on them anymore. Media and how people consume their media is different now. Winter is completely out of touch here.
Dear @Rovers. Banning the local paper is never a good look. I don’t know what’s led to this but I do know it makes you look small-minded, scared of constructive criticism, and disinterested in your fanbase - the lifeblood of the club. Fans rely heavily on the Lancashire Evening Telegraph for news, match coverage and a (good) podcast.
Banning the local paper is embarrassing for your staff who live locally and who have to try to explain your decision to family, friends and neighbours. Banning the local paper is unlikely to go down well with sponsors.
Banning the local paper also loses you all the support you deservedly acquired this week across the country because of the EFL’s unfair decision to order a full replay of your abandoned Ipswich game. I followed the LET coverage and they fought hard for Rovers over this injustice. So please think again. Work with the local paper. And good luck against Ipswich. #Rovers.
