@951SHINEFM While all my peeps know I'm 35-year long-suffering Redskins fan...I will always love these Ravens - especially for all their support of @HelpingUp Mission over the years!
This past year I contributed to a great book: Harvest House 'Handbook of Bible Lands' which will hopefully be available for Christmas. I was asked to write a short review below. Hope you read it -- and the book!

This Week’s Character Quality @HelpingUp Mission: Generosity—realizing that all I have belongs to God & using it for His purposes...while the first part can be a little tricky - it always feels good after I have done the second part!
Friday’s Chapel @HelpingUp was great, as usual. The choir did 2 great songs, including “This Means War!” Also had 3 new graduates who eloquently shared their experience, strength & hope with the group. This was also my last Chapel service 😐After 20 years I’ll retire next week
My wife, Gayle (left), and two coworkers at Medstar Montgomery Medical Center’s annual staff recognition dinner last night. The 3 represented 75 years of service at the hospital. The night before, Gayle concluded her 25 of those years...and retired! Next stop — Israel.
This Weeks Character Quality @HelpingUp Mission: Responsibility— Knowing and doing what God and others are expecting from me... I’m sure I’m going to need some divine intervention for this!
This Week’s Character Quality @HelpingUp Mission: Decisiveness - Ability to finalize difficult decisions based on the will and ways of God...I can do this—with His daily empowerment!
Great HUM weekend. Three new grads in Friday’s Chapel and celebrated the whole 140-man Class of 2019 yesterday at Martin’s West with 1,500 of our closest friends!
Thanks to all our @HelpingUp Mission family
This Weeks Character Quality @HelpingUp Mission: Love – Giving to the basic needs of others without expecting anything in return...when I do this the right way, it helps me, and maybe them, too!
Today’s Friday Chapel including 3 new grads. Grad Shawn’s back @ work in his field. Grad Phil gave us a rousing rendition of Sinatra’s ‘I Did it My Way.’ Grad OS’s sister, who sings & acts on Broadway, brought down the house with a song. Next stop for OS—Moody Bible Institute!
This Week's Character Quality @HelpingUp Mission: Forgiveness--Healing others by using their offenses as a means our expressing to them God's love...I know this works-when I work it!
This Week’s Character Quality @HelpingUp Mission: Patience—accepting a difficult situation from God without giving Him a deadline to remove...Lord, I believe. Help me with my unbelief!
